Dry films are made up of a very complex blend of chemicals and plastics and typically contain many of the following: Monomers, Binding Agents, Photo Initiators, Stabilizers and Plasticizers. Most binding agents typically contain carboxylic acids groups which are neutralized during the stripping process. Our unique formula uses an amine base solution that possesses sufficient potential to break the bonds within a heavily cross linked and bound photo polymer.

Our unique KTFC Amine Stripper is formulated to strip fully-aqueous dry film photoresists from printed circuit boards(PCB). It offers a high strip rate by minimizing the initial swelling of the resist that occurs during the starting phase of the stripping process, thereby reducing the mechanical entrapment of dry films that normally result in poor stripping performance. This allows our solution to be used by manufactures that have small line and space requirements, reducing the risk of rework and etch defects after SES or DES.

With no caustic occurring during the process, our solvent free solution ensures there is no tin or copper attack. Our optimum anti-tarnish further reduces any impact on the copper by preventing oxidation. This ensures that clean and untarnished copper is left at the end of the process and there is no interference with clean etching.

Additionally, our solution allows for easily filterable particles and a complete removal of dry film residue and adhesion promoters. By breaking down most films into particles this allows the filtration process to be smooth and easy, thereby significantly increasing the bath life for optimum performance.

With no solvents or glycol ethers present in our solution the use of our KTFC Amine Stripper of easy waste treatment. There is also no smell or odors that is usually emitted from the stripping process.
